HOW TAE-KWON-DO TRAINING HAS HELPED ME IN MY LIFE
One thing that I can say is that time sure does go by fast. It's seems like just a short time ago when I was receiving my second degree. When organizing my thoughts for this essay I tried to list how I am different from before and it wasn't as easy as you night think. But I believe that is exactly the pint; once you reach a certain level, your training becomes a part of your life and who you are. I know for myself my thoughts processes in general are different because of my Tae Kwon Do training. At Wambua's Martial Arts we have had the opportunity to learn many aspects of martial arts that reach outside of Tae Kwon Do. One part of training that has always had a large impact for me is that mental focus that is required when in a class. All outside distractions have to be put aside and I only focus on what I am doing at that moment. I try to apply that theory in my every day life and at work

By training at Wambua's Martial Arts I was introduced to aerobic kickboxing which has been a part of my life now for several years. Not only is it a great way to increase physical fitness but it is also an opportunity to teach others some aspects of martial arts. It is also a great way to reduce daily stress. I appreciate everything I have learned and am glad to have had the opportunity to meet many people through TDK and kickboxing.

I want to congratulate all the black belt candidates and commend them for their dedication and hard work. A special note to David and Justin - we have gone through each black belt testing cycle together and I wouldn't want it any other way. They have grown into fine young men and I am very happy to have shared these times with them. They have always shown such respect and support, even when they get stuck with the girl, and make my testing process easier.

A special thanks goes to Shanon and Sylvia for their support and being there throughout the years. They've had the good fortune of being there and listening to me stress about a performance or some upcoming testing but they always have a comforting word..
